Description
illum ħaj u għada mejjet.
Alive today, dead tomorrow.
A cheerful little Maltese reminder that we're all going to die.
Black short-sleeve work shirt featuring a vintage memento mori skeleton based off of the floors of St. John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta, armed with scythe and hourglass, printed on the front in a neo traditional tattoo style illustration, with “Illum Ħaj u Għada Mejjet” printed across the back.
Finished by hand with a brass eyelet through the collar — because apparently impending death can still accessorise.
Inspired by Maltese language, old funerary imagery and the eternal Mediterranean talent for being both deeply Catholic and extremely morbid.
Hand screen printed and finished in Malta using water-based ink.
